In an English class in France the students will be able to speak to each other in French. the same is true in any country. In a Languagelab class, the only common language the students have is English.

With students from 50+ countries there is no common language other than English. This forces students to use English all the time. The learner has to use English to communicate with their peers and the teacher. There is no other language they can fall back on.

The result is that students are speaking English, and only English, for the entire lesson helping them learn faster
